I am thrilled to introduce our brand-new purse style: Olivia!

Olivia is a small purse that can be carried as a clutch, or you can attach a strap to it to carry it over your shoulder. It’s perfect for a night out, or when you are on the go and want a stylish way to carry your essentials.

So many people request small and medium purses, which gives me a challenge because I want to see as much fabric as possible! ;) But I love Olivia, and I know you will, too.

This newest style is named after my newest sister-in-law, Olivia Scott! She married Nick’s younger brother, Nathan, just over a year ago, and we are so thankful to have her in the family. She is a great listener — very attentive — and she also sees the humor in life, which I enjoy! She adores Nathan, and she loves to talk about Jesus, home life, and mental health.

Olivia is also a minimalist, and it was fun to create a purse I knew she would like. Her style is classy, yet simple, and this purse definitely fits that description.

1. How do you know Rebekah?

Rebekah is my sister-in-law! 

2. Give us a brief bio of yourself.

I grew up in a small river town in northeast Iowa called Lansing. I currently live in Des Moines, Iowa with my husband, Nathan, and our dog, Wrigley. I am a mental health therapist. Supporting people through life’s journey and advocating for mental health awareness are definitely passions of mine. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, going on walks, being outdoors, and getting together with family. 

3. How many RSD purses do you own?

I own the Jenny bag. It has been a great bag for keeping all of my work stuff organized when I am on the go between working from home and working at the office.

4. Do you have a favorite fabric?

My favorite fabric would have to be the charcoal or black waxed canvas. 

5. Do you own/have you seen the Olivia bag yet? What do you like about it?

I really like that I can use the Olivia bag as a purse or a clutch, depending on what I am doing. I also like how there is a pocket for pretty much everything I keep in my purse, so it is very well organized.

6. We're curious about a few of your favorites:

Favorite movie: This may sound funny, but my favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber. Ironically, that movie was a key factor in the story of how I met my husband! 

Favorite book: I don’t think I have a favorite book, but if I had to pick a category, I would say I enjoy reading memoirs and books related to mental health. 

Favorite ice cream: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ice cream is definitely on the top of my list. 

7. Do you have a quote or motto you live by?

Being kind to others is something I always strive to be. 

8. Do you have a must-have item in your purse, and why?

My must-have item would probably be chapstick. Over the last year though, I have found that I always have a mask and hand sanitizer in my purse!
